I
was a Jesuit Brother when I made inquiries and spoke to superiors.
I said, "I do believe that I have not yet fulfilled what God wants
me to do in the Society. I feel he wants me to go on to the priesthood
so I can pass on to the Jamaican people what Christ wants here
on earth." And I got the OK to go ahead.
I
vividly remember one blissful starry night when I was awakened
by the sound of an explosive boom under my second story window
at St. Anne's rectory. As I peeked out I witnessed a shirtless
man being forcefully pushed against Ms. B's tenement yard zinc
fence. Another close range explosion sent the victim's inner organs
splashing and running on Ms B's shiny zinc fence. I dialed a special
security police number.
Just
about everybody that had something to do with the church needed
my input. I am not sure why that was so. But something kept telling
me: "Look it is for the good of the people and also for their
common good," part of what Christ, perhaps, wanted me to do along
with others.
